Description of Opportunity
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Sales and Marketing
- Meet/ exceed budgeted occupancy goals
- Meet/ exceed department budget goals
- Schedule, organize and conduct tours with prospective residents, families and loved ones.
- Respond and follow-up with all emails, walk-ins, phone ins, mail-ins timely and appropriately.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with residents, collages, families, and professional providers of care.
- Provide family/POA resident updates, 3 days post admission.
- Create and implement a strong community outreach program including but not limited to: Skilled Nursing Communities, Independent and Assisted Living communities, senior centers, home care providers, and other fitness/wellness groups.
- Create, plan, and implement in collaboration with the Program Director events to bring in prospective residents such as but not limited to seminars, speakers, themed events, and family nights.
- “on-call” to answer questions related to new admissions
- Update competitive analysis quarterly.
- Work closely with the Executive Director and Owners to develop and implement the quarterly marketing plan. Including TV, radio, print and social media campaigns.
- Communicate with team members information related to, move ins and move outs, room turns, room transfers, etc.
- Assist department directors in the development and use of sales and marketing policies and procedures and establish a rapport in and between departments so that each staff member can realize the importance of his/her role in our marketing programs.
- Keep informed of all trends, developments, concepts, and techniques in his/her field that affect product.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all software programs and social media applications.
- Understand the needs of the senior and the aging process, especially as this applies to dementia.
- Protect resident rights and support regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our community’s admission requirements, services, and programs. Interact with the public, potential residents and families, residents, staff, and others to explain these requirements.
- Maintain new resident move in paperwork and understand the requirements of the State of Ohio for new move in procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information.
- Uphold, demonstrate and help grow the culture of Cotter House
- Demonstrate leadership with love and compassion.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity and dedication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position reports to the Executive Director
Essential Functions:
- Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and move frequently during working hours. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. flor to waist, lift 10 lbs. waist to shoulder, life and carry 40 lbs. and push/pull 40 lbs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.

- Understand how to approach and communicate with all residents who are cognitively impaired.
- Treat residents, family members and other team members with dignity and respect while responding to their needs.

- Accept other duties as assigned.
Educational/ Licensure Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing or equivalent experience is preferred.
Work Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in senior living
- 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing or equivalent experience
- Expert in Dementia Care
