Description of Opportunity
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Lead the clinical caregiving team with love and compassion.
- Uphold, demonstrate and grow the culture of Cotter House.
- Ensure the best quality of care while helping our residents.
- Demonstrates honesty, compassion, integrity and dedication.
- On-call to offer nursing support as needed.
- Manage nursing schedules and assignments. May be required to cover scheduled nursing shift.
- Oversee resident rights and compliance with regulations.
- Coach, mentor and demonstrate dedication to both our residents and our teammates.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Manage and oversees the clinical team, including nurses, caregivers and restorative.
- Recruiting, selecting, hiring and training restorative staff.
- Creates nursing policy and procedures and oversees compliance with policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with the Outreach Director to organize potential admissions.
- Controls budgets and manages expenditures.
- Collaborates with other departments to streamline operations.
- Resolve high level issues concerning resident care and families.
- Participate in Care Conferences.
- Actively participates in new hire orientation, continuing education and ongoing development of the clinical team.
- Collaborates with 3rd party vendors for resident services. (ie. Hospice, therapy, home health etc.)
- Completes Annual Reviews for and oversees disciplinary action as needed for the clinical team.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and move frequently during working hours. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. floor to waist, lift 10 lbs. waist to shoulder, life and carry 40 lbs. and push/pull 40 lbs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
- Preadmission assessment for potential residents and Outreach Director.

- Understand how to approach and communicate with all residents who are cognitively impaired.
- Treat residents, family members and other team members with dignity and respect while responding to their needs.
- Maintain and sustain a safe community and workplace.
- Follow Cotter House Worthington Policies, Procedure, and Manuals.
- Accept other duties as assigned.
Educational/ Licensure Requirements:
RN/LPN current and active nursing license.
